Prayer: Shephard

Father, I’ve been distracted.

This world with it’s bright colors and promise of satisfaction,
has left me lost and wandering again.
Would you come pull me back into the fold.

Again, I’m begging You.
Please, come pull me back.

I know you’ve got 99 other sheep who live happily in Your camp.
Asking You to leave them to chase after this rebellious heart is selfish.

But selfish is what I’m good at.
Rebellion is what I’m good at.
Getting lost is what I’m good at.

But I know somehow You still love me.

And saving is what You’re good at.
Peace is what You’re good at.
Finding is what You’re good at.

Great Shepherd come find me again.
In doing so, help me find myself again.

Found as Your beloved.
Bring me back to You.
